A Challenge that I would like to complete

I find I scrap mostly events, trips, holidays and the kids. I found this challenge about your favorite gift. The first thing I thought of was "Grandma Gifts" in my family. Grandma Gifts are things that she used, collected, decorated with. Most are home decor things but they are special because they are given during the Christmas Holiday. Since I am the oldest a lot of these things I do remember seeing around the house. I just took a couple of pictures of the most recent ones I got.

The Angels are in need of some paint but they are passed down from my Grandmother. My Grandma is one of those people you wish were able to be around longer. You know someone you miss because they were not there for those big life changes in your life.
Below is another "Grandma Gift" that I got a Christmas or two ago.

If It's Groovy: FOR THE BIRDS: KELLY (and a Tutorial)

Here is a chance to play with those punches we sometime forget about. Cute little birds. Now, if I can just find my googley eyes.....

If It's Groovy: FOR THE BIRDS: KELLY (and a Tutorial): "Another great layout using punch art to make something and this month, our theme being birds, well see for yourself how cute Kelly's are! De..."

If It's Groovy: Do You See a Little Trend?

Here is a cute layout with my scrappy friend, Jen T. and her little cutie!

If It's Groovy: Do You See a Little Trend?: "Have you noticed the little trend that I first spotted once I saw this really precious layout shown today by Jen T? It's there! Look closel..."

Pages, Pages, Pages

I find that have a pile actually a 3-ring binder full of pages that just need something to be completed. I was reading somewhere and they mentioned PHD, which means Pages Half Done. So, I guess I am not alone.
Anyway, last night got to finish 2 of those PHD's and do a new layout with scrappin' friends at her house. A much needed welcome after hubby being home since Tuesday. So, he is working today, thankfully! Not just for because we(kids/I) have our routine back but also so we can eat and put diapers on the youngest.

OK, so I am going to get something done today and update. Since there hasn't been a pic posted in a few!

Needs a little something more but at least it is out of the Pages Half Done Binder!

I won a RAK from a Challenge

I am so excited I won a RAK for one of my Challenges I completed!

I am also a Fisk-a-teer and entered a few challenges on the site and won one there too!
Here is what I entered:

Boy, I am on a roll! It feels so good after the last few days of LIFE................

Plus just found out about this site:
The Scrap Review.com
Which has a listing of all the new goodies coming out!

Oh My Oh My!

I think that explains enough. I wish I could explain more but ........
Okay, so I speak what I feel and obviously type what I am thinking.
But it is my blog and it is my life and my creativity! Which in return that was the reason I started my blog.
I was/am really hoping having a blog would keep me going in my creativity.
I know everyone has things in their lives. Mine especially since there are people out there reading I guess I will explain.I am a Stay-At-Home Mom of 2 young children. I graduated college trained so to speak as an ESL and Elementary Teacher worked in the field for a while and met my husband. My husband was born here but raised in Newfoundland, Canada. He worked across Canada in various Skilled Labor Type Jobs and funny thing is all of them you could have or can see on Discovery or History Channel. So, with just that little bit said. There is a huge chance that we will be leaving this economy and moving to Canada.

Well, there of course is so much more but that's enough for today.

So, the family had a lazy morning and went to see my second cousin play in her basketball game. Did a little shopping at the mall had an early dinner and came home. I got to finish another challenge too! So, happy that I completed 8 out of the 12 challenges by the 16th!
So here is the latest. The Challenge was: You must have 3 stars, 4 stripes or 4 strips of paper & your title needs to come from the word "Freedom" or you need a 7 letter title. Feel free to use as many or as little letters from the word.

Crop Cancelled for Today

So, the crop I was supposed to go today was canceled and I am disappointed. But I did get to finish up a Challenge last night.
For this challenge, I had to create some sort of grid on your page that has 12 sections. You must also use the number 12 in your title or subtitle somehow and your layout needs to be Christmas-themed.

Another Challenge Completed:
1) JUNE/Summer themed
2) Multiple photos (doesn't have to be 6, but must be more than 1)
3) MUST USE 6 papers (no more, no less) -- (cardstock & pp each count as one..)
4) NOT A REQUIREMENT but as an optional extra challenge: Use the number 6 somewhere on your layout....(I used the NUMBER 6 in my journaling.. ages of the boys)

Looking at the layout together I think I need to add the Yankees Symbols on the right page. It is too empty..
