If It's Groovy - Best Kept Secret Scraplift & Zipper Flower

As a Design Team Member we were asked to Scraplift an awesome layout by Misty! Misty is a guest Designer and going to be participating in our Blog Hop-No Housework Day coming up on April 7th! Visit: Misty's Blog

Also If It's Groovy to check out everyone's take on the lift! Mark your calenders too! We are going to have fun and RAK's during the blog hop!

Here is what I came up with for the lift:

I altered my alphas with a little pigment ink.

Made paper four-leaf clovers and added some half pearls I actually picked up for my daughter's Tinkerbell Halloween LO. I love when I get to use my stash for more then what I intended too!

Here is a really cool tutorial that I just came across! One that I will have to add to the try it list!
Will have to try it...

- Apply Stickles to Alpha Stickers
- Color Alpha Stickers w/acrylic paint to match your project
- Mix and match Alpha Stickers from different sets for a fun titile

Any other ideas?

My Challenge entered:

My inked up edges since I didn't like any letter I had on hand and I had some paper left from the LO.

Absolutely Incredible Kid Day®

Here is my LO for Absolutely Incredible Kid Day® This was a challenge I was given on the Design Team for If It's Groovy Blog.

For this challenge it was easy and odd how it came so easy after being so frustrated! I actually wasn't frustrated with my daughter, who this letter was written to. I was frustrated mainly with two current details of life: One, was dealing with the last two weeks of double shifts my husband was pulling. Second, was the whole house being hit with a stomach virus that didn't leave from a week. I left the house frustrated because finally hubby was home, but asleep on the couch dead to our world. I needed a break away for just an hour! So, I went and sat by the river. Pouted a bit and started writing my letter to my daughter.
It reads:
You are amazing! Your mind is never idle. You are always thinking about something. the ideas you come up with and you can't even write yet! You take pencil & paper scribble something down. Then hold up your scribble and sing away a perfect song. Now at just 4 years, you can remebr jingles and songs.Driving me crazy asking who sings the song and what is the name of the song.
Taylor Swift has been your favorite since 3. Maybe longer, just I know at 3, I noticed you singing her lines and picking her our anywhere. Even her songs after the first few notes!
Your amazing! You raid my closet pulling out whatever you can find. usually it is my fancy shoes and come out announcing your getting married! Now, I sit here crying because of your spirit, determination and will. I love you and don't evr lose those qualities!
Love,
Mom

There was so much more to write and I know I could have expanded more. But that will be for the next letter I write to her!

On the Layout: I used Heidi Grace - Wildflowers Decor Stripe pattern paper cut into 2 1/2" wide strips and 10" in length edge distressed. The solid reverse was used for background. Used leftover envelope I had for the letter edge distressed and inked. A sheet of colored printer paper for my handwritten letter written with a blue glitter gel pen. Same blue printer printer for the accent quote stamped with Close To My Heart Hollyhock ink. Then fussy cut the quote. All of the papers, mats and photo except background paper were corner rounded. Photo mat, envelope and title were edge inked with Close to My Heart Heavenly Blue. I cut two different sized Imaginisce flowers in half, stapled them together and attached them behind the matted photo. Took two more flowers varied sizes and a flocked blue brad attached them to the envelope. Put brad through only one layer of the envelope so the letter can be pulled out!

A Few More from Fisk-a-teers winter Stamp Out!

We had a busy day yesterday! Didn't get to finish all that I wanted too, but I do have one section of my kitchen counters done and a sink put in!

I still had a few cabinets to fill up to clear off the kitchen table and pack up some stuff I wasn't going to be using for a while. Here is some more of what got done for the online crop.

More completed for Fisk-a-teers Winter Stamp Out

So, last night Luke(my 1 yr old) and I headed for bed at 8:30 p.m. I couldn't even keep my eyes open for the first 15 minutes of Ax Men. We DVR shows since we usually can't sit down at the same time nor long enough to watch them. Anyway, since I got a good nights sleep, which usually doesn't happen often! I am here posting what I completed yesterday in the late afternoon, before dinner.

OK, so for the first challenge I took these two pics since I wasn't sure what direction the changelles were going to head.

For the next challenge we had to use pics posted or our own.
                Here are ones I liked:
                 Vicky's 7622 pic
                 Brenda's 3635 pic

Since Becky is totally into Purple lately. I used this image posted
                 Michelle's 3624 Pic

Here is what I came up with! Now just to get the pics!
