Mud It Up!

This was a fun photo shoot with my daughter. We just moved to Newfoundland and she got to explore a different environment than our old grass back yard. She would ride around on her quad!
I used Sassafras Lass "Paper Crush" Papers. Love the die-cut borders they have on the opposite side of the Company/Collection Name Strip. Used "Heartsick Cure" for my strip down the middle. On the other side of that paper it had the goldenrod lined paper that I stamped my title with. I fussy cut them out and popped them up with foam tape. Using "Head Over Heels" I trimmed about 4" x 11" piece to fit inside the "Pitter Patter" Framed background paper. Using those die-cut borders I added them to the edge of each of my pictures in replace of using a full mat on each photo.

Added my Journaling Card and hand wrote my journaling. "You got new terrain to explore with your quad! In and Out for half the day. Mud Puddles all the way! By the end of the day you started doing tricks!"

I broke out my Sewing Machine!

My Mom got me a new sewing machine for my birthday......not sure how long ago!
Anyway, Mom was the last to use it...back in May while she was visiting!

So, this week Fiskateers are having their Fiskateer Games going along with the Olympics!
This week is sewing challenges.
Here is the first challenge I completed:
I created this by Upcycling from one of my daughter's dresses. Back during the If It's Groovy Birthday Blog Hop I used some of the fabric from the dress to create a pin cushion. Pictured below:

Had to show the label ... it's an exclusive Mary-Kate and Ashley! haha

Even opened up a Button Cover Kit I had the package for over a 1 1/2 years.

The Fiskateer Games: Layout Event

Fiskateers is having a month long event to coincide with the Olympic Games.

Thanks to whoever made this cute badge!
(found on Mary #135 signature line)

There will be Four Different Rotations:
Layout Event (Week #1)
Sewing Event (Week #2)
Cardmaking Event (Week #3)
Home Decor Event (Week #4)
Each Event will have four different challenges!

So, for this week I completed the following:
Layout Event Challenge #1: Create a layout consisting of at least 2 photos and using at least 4 different Fiskars tools.

Page 2 of a 2 page layout in the works
Fiskars Tools Used: Scallop Tearing Tool, Snowflake Texture Plate, Threading Water Border Punch & Large Postage Stamp Squeeze Punch

Layout Event Challenge #2: Create a layout incorporating the negative space of a punched piece(s). Use the piece(s) as is, or use it as a mask, or stencil......

Layout Event Challenge #3: Create a layout by using an embellishment in the formation of the Olympic Rings as inspiration.
Came out pretty good, even if I mess up one of the links!

Layout Event Challenge #4: Create a layout incorporating a medal/award ribbon design.
