Scrapbooking SOS - is all about why I scrapbook. I scrap for me, my sanity and
for my creativity. Of course, my family benefits from it too.

Grad cards - One for my nephew and one for his girlfriend!

Sorry, Nephew but I love your girls' dress! Friday night was Grad Night here!
Grad Night is Graduation and Prom rolled into one night/event. The event is set up similar to Prom in the States, but they have your family attend the dinner and dancing. Then they have a Grand March of all the Graduates.

I loved my Nephews' Girlfriend's Dress. She looks gorgeous! I have to share the pic to relate to the card I created for her.

I was going to do something with just feathers and try some heat embossing. Searching through my stamps I found I had a peacock feather stamp. So, here is what I created:

I think it came out pretty good for no using embossing powders for quite awhile! Was going to add something to the background but I like how the feathers (embossed/real) show on the black. Clustered all the feathers together similar to Week #28 Card Lifters.

I had fun with my Nephew's card too! He is so easy-going and a little rough around the edges, but he cleaned up good!

I think he is happy to be done with this past 15 years!
Here is what I created for him.

Little embellishment made with a little ink distressing and added a feather.

Edge Distressed for the rough around the edges look.

Matching envelope too!

Awesome Shot of the two of them!

Card Lifters caught up this past weekend at the retreat

Week #16

Week #21
I made but was not impressed with.

I was not focused after hearing that our Skipper (Soft-coat Wheaten Terrier) was missing all day. Thankfully I only had an hour and a half funk, because Hubby called He was found and brought to a Shelter. Since we still had his collar with the USA contact info. and his Rabies tag. Thankfully a post from the shelter and other neighbors daughters search lead us to him.

So, I Cut & Pasted his posting and will be making him...his own page about "Skipper's Retreat"

Week #23
Still needs the Birthday sentiments added to the side. I forgot to pack some Birthday stamps.

Here is the updated pic after I add that stamp.

Off on a Scrapbooking Retreat for the Weekend

I am excited to meet some new scrappy friends. I will be away for Friday, Saturday and Sunday!!!!!
I hope to get a lot done with 3 full days/2 nights of scrapping.

Will get to see one scrappy friend I met way back November of 2011 at my 1st Retreat I went to in Newfoundland. This will actually be my 2nd Retreat in Newfoundland. This time I am getting pictures!
I have always forgot to get pictures at the crops, expo and retreats in the past. I think I only got picture once! Which I did scrap for my own Scrapbook Album...

I think my whole album might be 3-4 layouts!
